We were staying at the Chanler at Cliff Walk and had head about the great food at this resturant. We caled for reservations and received a 7pm seating on Saturday. It was perfect since we arrived on Friday early afternoon. After a long day of sightseeing and fun we made out way back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. We arrived about ten minutes early but were seated immediately at a nice table for two by the fireplace. Our waiter handed us menus as well as a wine list. The room was very cozy and warm with beautiful decor and furnishings. We decided to have a bottle of champagne to drink and ordered our appetizers and entrees. Liz orderd the caesar salad and the scallops for an entree. I decided on the tuna and the lamb as an entree. The dinner was incredible and the food was so flavorful and presented beautifully. The fireplace was a great addition to the room and we kept toasty warm during our meal. We did manage to find room for dessert and Liz had a chocolate truffle cake and I had the cheesecake.
The service here was so attentive and the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner. It was also perfect that we were staying on site, so right upstairs we went with the remainder of our champagne.
Favorite Dish:
My favorite part of the meal was the lamb. It was cooked perfectly and the suace was delicious. The cheesecake was also very good and creamy; not heavy. Liz loved her scallops which is one of her favorite things to eat. Her chocolate truffle cake was very good and I managed to steal a forkful.
