The International Tennis Hall of Fame is located in the former Newport Casino. The museum is dedicated to the game of tennis including those who were instrumental in contributing to the game.
The original Casino was constructed in 1880 as a Socail club for the wealthy and it is here where the first United States Tennis Championship was held in 1881.
There are plenty of exhibits that include tennis greats who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. There is a nice collection of artifacts, memorabilia, videos, photographs, audio recordings of everything that has to do with tennis, as well as equipment, apparel, trophies, and art.
The Tennis Hall of Fame is open to the public daily from 9:30-5 (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas). There is an admission fee of $11 for adults and children under 16 are free.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum is housed in a building which is a superb example of shingle style architecture designed in 1880 by McKim, Mead, and White as a social and recreational club for Newport's summer residents.
