M.T. Perrotti Park, Newport
There is a tiny park with a sliver of green located in the harbor area called M. T. Perrotti Park. It is a nice place to relax and watch the world go by both on land and on the water. There is a water fountain and clean public restrooms (that is more and more important as we age). There is also a statue that I think is of aquatic life at play. The ferries dock nearby.
Located here on America's Cup Avennue and next to the Marriott Hotel is the small park by the name of M.T. Perrotti. It overlooks the Newport Harbour and contains a few statues, benches and a gazebo where you can sit and watch the boats out on the harbour.
Ferni and I always make it a point to come and sit at one of the benches, or under the gazebo, during our many walks here in Newport especially if we are staying at the nearby Marriott Hotel. It is a nice park to sit and just watch the harbour and boats sail by.
We don't know who M. T. Perrotti was but the small park was very nice. We were here around sunset and the water had a beautiful shimmer from the sun.
