It's a great undertaking to take care and preserve the Historical homes and landmarks in Newport.
The Preservation Society itself is located in a mansion on Bellevue Avenue which was previously owned by Herbert Claiborne Pel. The Preservation Society is in charge of preserving and protecting most of the historical significance of the architectural heritage of Newport. Many of the mansions and buildings are cared for and protected by donations from private individuals, as well as memberships to the society.
The properties that are included in the Preservation Society's roster are Marble House, The Breakers, Rosecliff, Kingscote, Isaac Bell House, Chateau-Sur-Mer, The Elms, Hunter's House.

The Preservation Society is housed in a beautiful mansion right on Bellevue Avenue. It was the former residence of Herbert Caiborne Pell and was aquired by the Society in 1992.
