Fondest memory: By the way, I found that the Swan Point Cemetery is a very nice place for spending a couple of hours in a quiet afternoon. (Oh, do you think I sound weird? It might be... Did I say I love Lovecraft's horror stories?)
The Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art is built around a 19th century mansion. It includes both modern, American and ancient art.
Fondest memory: 224 Benefit Street
Favorite thing: Lots of bird feeding going on, photos of Japanese garden, ride the children's Carousel...visit the new horticultural center. Some hearty souls were out in their boat fishing today. It was soooo cold!
Favorite thing: We felt very sorry for this poor Mermaid. She was attracting quite a crowd at the Water Fire Festival, and it was quite a chilly evening, with just a hint of rain in the air.
Favorite thing: This is one of the magnificent State Rooms. This is the Senate Chamber of the State House. (Thanks Janet).
Fondest memory: And here he is, at the Swan Point Cemetery. 'I am Providence', he says in his epitaph. Such a small gravestone for such a great writer...
