Most people get around Tiverton by car. On Weekends don't be surprized if you see some very nice antique cars out for a drive.Local car clubs have events on weekends and weeknights and you can stop by and have a closer inspection of the vehicles and grab a hot dog or hamburger as well! Farm vehicles have been known to use the roads from time to time and of course motorcycles of various shapes and sizes and engine sounds. Every once in a while a plane or a balloon drops in for a visit..Trucks live here as do many campers, and RV's are often seen at the beach.
This plane has landed on Nanaquacket Pond. The dock belongs to Evelyn's retaurant which has reopened after an electrical fire. It is a seasonal retaurant. This well-known sea food restaurant has parking on the main road and access by boat as well. The town has limited their capability of having music indoors and out because of neighborhood noise concerns. They do have yearly benefits that include music.
Many people choose to restore something at least once in their lives, whether it is a boat, a plane, an old relationship or a piece of furniture. The best way is to watch, learn from or get advice from people who have done it before..It's never too late and anything can be fixed. Certainly, there is too much reusable ,recycleable and toxic stuff that is ending up in our landfills. The one in Tiverton is almost full. Have mercy on us and recycle..
