by hslowe The Library at the Vendue Inn has a great rooftop bar where you can overlook the harbor. It is so relaxing to go there around sunset! 23 Vendue Range, 723-0485, for more info visit http://www.vendueinn.com/rooftopbar.htm A much bigger rooftop bar is the Terrace at Marion Square, an open-air restaurant built atop Millennium Music at the corner of King and Calhoun streets and with a view of the newly-renovated Marion Square. It's always a happening place and a lot of fun, but unlike the Rooftop at Vendue, you can't see the water. Finally, the new and extremely swank Market Pavilion Hotel has the Pavilion Bar and Cafe--another fantastic view. 225 East Bay Street http://www.marketpavilionhotel.com Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

Located above Saracen restaurant on East Bay Street, Charlie's is the locals' best-kept secret. You have to practically walk through an alley and then the kitchen and up some stairs to get there. But once you're there it is so worth it. Charlie's is small, beautiful, and stylish. Park yourself on one of the comfy sofas, sip a martini and enjoy the stained glass windows in the restaurant below. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

by Rushland This place has been slammed ever since it open it's doors. It has been open longer than any other bar in Charleston. There's a band downstairs and a D.J. upstairs. There's also a courtyard in the back. Age range runs the full spectrum, from 21-45. IIt's billed as a martini bar. No matter where you start, everyone ends up at Trio.
No hats, and proper dress is required. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: on Calhoun St. between King St and Meeting St.

When all else is closed down, this place is alive and well. We had a great time with a great live band! Plus the food is yummy. Market Street.

Great low-key place. If you want a local hang out where you can almost always get a seat and it's not overrun by college students this is a great choice.

Multiple streets of bars makes for an easy pub crawl!
Casual. You're going to get drunk, fer cryin' out loud! Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubDirections: Start at Wild Wing cafe on the Market. You'll want to eat so as to delay getting drunk too quickly. Next try Henry's just up the street. Or, if you feel like a short walk, stroll over to Tommy Condon'Other Contact: Park in the garage on Cumberland
