The menu at this restaurant offers a lot of seafood. It's one of the few places to eat on Edisto Island. There is very little ambience here. If you get a table by the window you will have a view of the boats coming into the slip area. You have to walk up a long flight of stairs to the dining room. The restrooms are downstairs so if being handicapped is an issue, this is not a particularly easy place to visit.
Favorite Dish: There were four of us in our party. Three got seafood and one got a grilled angus beef burger. The seafood entrees included a baked potato and salad. The potatoes were not really baked completely so they were quite hard. The server replaced one potato upon request. There were no hush puppies served.
There were three different specials of the day, easy was $18.95. The price wasn't special and the meal wasn't particularly special.
The Angus beef burger included tomato, lettuce and a pickle with a side serving of fries.
The burger was good. Our server made several mistakes but tried to correct things and overall did a pretty good job with our meal.
For restaurant eats it's slim pickin's. There is a semi-cushy restaurant off the pier (seafood, of course), a more casual place near the Fairfield resort end, a pizza parlor that serves ice cream and (thank goodness) a grocery store! Charleston, though, is only 45min. away offering pretty much whatever you want.
