Warnings and Dangers

Falls can be dangerous
SpaceCoastMomma profile photo
SpaceCoastMomma 69 reviews

When we first arrived here, about 8 months ago, people (and their dogs) were still climbing on the rocks and swimming in the water at the Falls Park on the Reedy. At that time, signs were posted that "discouraged" people from climbing or swimming. However, those signs are being replaced by "prohibited" warnings. Not only have people been hurt slipping on the rocks, but now the DHEC is posting signs that high levels of fecal bacteria have been found in the water. I've heard that steps have been taken to begin a clean-up of the Falls, but ~ it is highly recommended that you do not swim in the water (or let your dog swim or drink from it!)

Tourist Traps

Completely Undiscovered!?
SpaceCoastMomma profile photo
SpaceCoastMomma 69 reviews

I can't really say that there are tourist traps in Greenville as it seems to remain, somehow, seemingly undiscovered by the masses. Greenville has a an old-fashioned, down-home, small-town feel...BUT also offers all of the amenities & culture of a metropolitan city. I've no idea why the rest of the world doesn't all live here!
