    A friend took me to this bar. It has a nice friendly atmosphere. But the real reason I was brought here was my friend wanted me to try their signature drinks... the frosty frog! Its pretty much a slushee... just that its got alcohol in it and its pretty damn strong. A good way to get buzzed on just $8. Now that I think about it, I think she wanted me to get drunk so she could have her way with me...

    • Some of my fondest memories are on this beach at night. Once you're past the hotels and resorts, all that's left are the stars, the waves, the sand, and the lights of Tybee Island far in the distance.

    • Coming from LA, we're used to clubs closing at 2am. That's not the case here. We went to Monkey Business as the after-after party... around 2.30am.

    We went on a Friday and it was packed. There was good music and occasionally they drop confetti on the dance floor.

    Didn't buy drinks cos it was waaaay too packed.

    Casual, but no beanies... not sure why, but my friend was told to remove his.

    • The place to go when you want to enjoy the dance club concept without feeling intimidated . . . cool and dark, with colorful metal streamers and tinsel all over the place . . . The bartenders wear the pre-requisite Hawaiian shirts and bouncers loom in the corners (friendly, but watchful . . . Come on now . . . Who among us can honestly say they don't let lose and dance to 'Brick House' while on vacation . . . Especially when we will never see these people again

    Hilton Head has a number of stories and tall tales, but none can match that of Jake, the original Salty Dog. More than 10 years ago, on a fine afternoon, Jake and his master, Captain John Braddocks, went fishing on the captain's handmade boat, 'The Salty Dog.' Though the sky was blue when they started, a storm came up suddenly. Captain John was an experienced sailor and his craft was a sturdy vessel, but they were overmatched by 20-foot waves. The boat capsized and Captain John and Jake were thrown into the ocean 30 miles from home. Jake found Captain John, who threw his arm over the dog. Jake began to swim, carrying his master back toward the island. Three days later they came to Sea Pines beach in Calibogue Sound, hungry and exhausted, but safe. Not only did Jake save himself, but he brought his fishing partner and friend to safety and the town held a celebration in his honor.

    • If you want to have fun on your trip, and you don't like all the little kids hanging out..... go here. It's an older very good looking crowd. The staff is really fast! and they never forget your drinks. i came back 3 nights in a row and they already new what i was having. That felt really good. The music was great, the vibe was great. It's the place to be on HILTON HEAD ISLAND.
