Hilton Head Island is probably best known for its world-class golf courses and facilities . . . The Lowcountry is home to more than 30 courses, both private and public . . . Each year HH hosts the MCI Classic - The Heritage of Golf at Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines, bringing some of the top names in PGA golf along with it
The big activities are golf and tennis. For the other folks there is miniature golf, biking and hanging out on the beach.
You also must go to the fudge shoppe in Coligny plaza which is at the beach end of Pope Ave. I really like the stores in Coligny shopping area because they have some character and the people in the shops are very friendly like in a small town. This area is one of the older areas on the Head in between Sea Pines and Shipyard Plantations.
The island is dedicated to being a great GOLF destination. Try coming in November, the prices are lower and the courses and bars are less crowded with tourists.
This place is definitely golf heaven. Most of the courses look like this-lots of trees, lots of moss, and lots and lots of water!.
