Coconut Joe's is a great place to relax for a casual lunch or dinner in Isle of Palms. The restaurant is oceanfront & the best tables are outside on the porch. You can't beat the view or the breeze. The menu has a little something for everyone. Sandwiches, pasta, quesadillas, seafood, not to mention the drinks. They have a raspberry lemonade you can get with or without alcohol that is perfect for summer. There is also a roof top bar with live music. The prices are not too high & the service is usually pretty good.
Favorite Dish: The Jamaican Jerk Chicken Pasta Toss is great. The portion is huge so a to go box will most likely be required. It has enough kick to be spicy but not too hot.

We ate here twice in November 2001 but when we came back in March 2002 it was closed. Bob says we are the kiss of death for marina restaurants. The restaurant has reopened under the name of the Morgan Creek Cafe (according to a sign on the side in 2003). I have not been to it since it changed hands/name
This restaurant is very handy to the marina and has a good view of the ICW, but is at the end of a dead end road and off the beaten track. It was empty each time we were there so I'm not surprised that it went under. We had a long conversation on the second night with the only employee there - the waiter who was also cooking because the cook's wife was in the hospital having a baby.
Favorite Dish: Claiborne Young's assessment of this restaurant when it was in business was that the food was ordinary.
He was probably right, but it was good ordinary food.
Our meals for two were $40.78 the first night and the second night was $54.31.

We have eaten here everytime we go to Isle of Palms. We have sent others here too and they have loved it. It is a beach restaurant / bar. We have taken the children there and they have enjoyed it too. Just a beachy atmosphere. Nothing fancy but the food is good and the drinks are cold.
It actually looks like it might be a good nightspot for drinking and dancing too but we are usually so exhausted from a day at the beach that we are conked out by 10 pm.
Favorite Dish: We love the talapia fingers. Try them!

We like to go to Shem creek to eat. There are shrimp boats that bring in fresh seafood right where you can see them. I've watched them unload some pretty interesting things on those boats. Shark, shrimp, flounder, grouper, snapper, yellow fin tuna, crabs and oysters.
Very nice atmosphere overlooking the creek.
Favorite Dish: Lobster.

We love "Los Arcos" Mexican Restaurant. We travel to Isle of Palms every year & have tried so many restaurants but we always return to Los Arcos. The food is fabulous! The staff is friendly & imformative, the food is soo tasty & inexpensive. The atmosphere is amazing. We often eat here several times in a weeks vacation. You won't believe how good the food is & the Monster Margaritas are awesome! A Must Stop on your next trip.
Favorite Dish: My personal fav @ Los Arcos is the "Sampler Platter". This platter is under $7 & has all my favorites! It includes yummy cheese dip, chicken nachos, taquitos & more. I can never finish it all & it's sooo good!
