Southern cooking, buffet style, cheap, hot.
Decor..... trucker
Selection.... fried chicken, okra, grits, chitlins, corn muffin
or you could get burger, fries, salad, beans, coffee, Coke
and for dessert pies, brownies, sweet buns

You could definitely put a gut on with this stuff. Pile your plate for $8 (2003).

The problem is not so much violent crimes (Murders or Rapes) but is rather thefts and burglaries.

If you keep your car door locks and use the chain-latch on your hotel room and put valuables in the motel safebox, you should feel fairly secure in this town.

This is a private golf course which opens to the public during the week and on non-tournament weekends. You must call ahead (24 hours) to register for tee times. The establishment is about 40 years old and the golf course has been well-maintained over the years.

This is basically a plantation turned into a golf course... very flat. A few of the greens and tees are slightly elevated but other than that there is hardly any undulations in the course. The whole course is bermuda grass which tends not to dry out and go fast in the hot summer weather. It plays much like an executive course... pretty easy without too many hazards.
The long tees are 6700 yards and the short are a friendly 5000 yards.

$20 covers 18 holes and a cart. The driving range has buckets of balls for $5.
There is a pro shop and snack bar. You can rent clubs or get info and lessons at the pro shop.
For members only, there are showers and a swimming pool too.

Dress code is mandatory collared shirt with dress long or short pants.
