When it comes to food, I would always rather go for quality over ambience and this little spot is right on the money (and doesn't cost much of the same).
It is a small 'hole in the wall' along the main highway between N Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach, sharing parking space with a gas station and a store.
The restaurant consists of a counter where you order and about 5 tables with metal chairs, comfortable enough to 'get it in ya', and served up by the family owning it with typical southern charm. The main staple is southern 'pulled pork' and I could eat it all day, perfectly tangy, with a hint of smokiness. Side dishes also follow the same southern vein, and you can get beans, corn, fires, rings, etc.
Favorite Dish: Pulled pork sandwich - no question about it!!

There is an absurd amount of restaurants here. You name it - they have a place for it in Myrtle Beach: Soul Food, Seafood, Chains, Steaks, Ethnic, BBQ, Vegetarian - there is even a restaurant dedicatred to FONDUE here. Fine Dining and Casual Dining abounds.
Southern charm, beautifully designed places to eat are the standard here.
Favorite Dish: You must try the Seafood in a destination like Myrtle Beach. Here there is a particular 'style' of Southern 'Low-Country' seafood called Calabash. Give it a try! Also, The Carolinas are famous for their BBQ and Myrtle Beach is no exception. 'Mr. Pitt' in Myrtle Beach boasts some award winning chow that you must try!

There are over 1600 restaurants and in my 6 trips to MB I've been to quite a few. Pier 14 stands out from the rest as does NY Prime.
NY Prime is pricey, not overly fancy, but the quality of the food and the service is exceptional. Well worth a visit.
Pier 14 is on a pier (duh) and there's a nice view of the ocean.
Favorite Dish: Always steak. NY Prime has the best steaks on the planet! My husband is a seafood lover.
