Pawleys Island Restaurants

I listed this for breakfast but they are open all day and all night, but breakfast is what I like about them....never been to this one, but their cheese eggs, grits, bacon and raisin toast combo is one of my favorite diner options....they serve apple butter with the toast, too...
coffee is good and never ending, and they always welcome you in ala Moe's but way earlier.....

I was skeptical of the deep souths ability to create such an inventive menu. Not only does the sushi far exceed my expectations, but the lengthy wine list did too ! Servers were helpful and knowledgeable of the cuisine. Impressive dinner only to be followed by an even more impressive dessert ! A +

They serve up the best hush puppies and have all the local favorites. We own a place write by Hanser House and eat there all the time. They are never packed and always friendly!

This place was a great find for me. I was driving up Route 17 enjoying the coastal towns and came upon Pawley's Island. I never did cross a bridge so I'm not sure how it gets its "island" name.
Gator Krawls was perfect for my needs.....clean, and good food with friendly staff. Dining was available indoors or out on the screened in porch.

Favorite Dish: a seafood omlet with creamy grits and cheese biscuits

Superb restaurant . . . If we stay in Pawleys 5 nights, we eat at Frank's 3 of them . . Originally Frank's Grocery Store . . . Frank sold out 10 yrs ago . . . Many of the original features remain . . . Impressive wine cellar with reasonable prices . . . Open air grill

Favorite Dish: Fried Three Cheese Polenta . . . Sauteed Breast of Chicken stuffed with spinach, fontina & proscuitto over sauce . . . Duck . . . Veal chop (view menu and wine list via web site)

Favorite Dish: A delicious Seafood Strudel consists of shrimp, scallops and crabmeat baked in phyllo dough and served over a lobster sauce

Sometimes you need a cheap cup of Joe, and McD's comes thru with its $1 cup anywhere---
not much else to recommend but better than starbux...
