THE place to see and be seen in Seaside. The crowd gathers on the upstairs open air deck/bar for sunset. Downstairs and outdoors is a first rate restaurant. Bud and Ally began by grilling fish outdoors when Seaside first opened, and they're still there, but much better off - and so are their patrons.
Favorite Dish: Mixed grill; pasta specials; seafood

Address: On the beach at Seaside
'Laid Back' best describes this area's culture. Do not expect anything to hurry up, just sit back relax and take in the sea smelling air.

Sometimes it is crowded. I liked after Labor Day, when the crowds leave and sometimes the water in the Gulf is still warm enough to swim, or just walk on the beach. And the Jelly Fish sting in August. Be careful if you see a lot in the water. The Bumble Bees come out in September but they usually fly away from you.

Bob's Crab Shack was so crowded everytime I went that the service was very poor. I went 3 times over a year to see if they would improve. The last time the waiter said they lost my order as the reason I was not served after over one hour of sitting!!!

Favorite thing: Go to relax, eat out, and get tanned. I have eaten at several places at and near Seaside. Bud and Alley's is consistantly great. The little places near have excellent food and the Pizza Place at Seagrove has the freshest pizza around. Be aware of Bob's as they cater to a large crowd and the service is poor.
Fondest memory: Actually cooking my own meals of marinatedfish and shrimp on the outside grill, with salad, veggies, and bread all bought rigt there or nearby.
