Warning no swimming, this is not really a sun tanning lay in your beach chair kind of a beach. The water is really ruff, as you can see the sign became a part of the debris in the water. Low tide seems to be a good time to walk if you don't want to get too wet. The water is warn like bath water. it was a little brown due to a storm in the area, but felt good.
I wanted to see the lighthouse up close, but I discovered that on the road next to it was TOO close. So I walked out along the trail at the end of the road toward the beach. I saw several folks taking their dogs for a walk and there are apparently dog litter bags for their use handily here by the beach. The left hand sign says
