Tomlinson's

Tomlinson's Warehouse, is the place to go when you drive past Myrtle Beach to head to either Georgetown or Charleston. Tomlinson's is located next to the Surfside Beach post office.
It's a small looking store on the outside, but inside it's got everything you'll need ( well no food to buy there). Surfside Beach has plenty of Mini-golf areas for the kids and also regular golf for Adults. There is a bowling alley and a billard room. It's not as crazy as Myrtle Beach , it's a bit more laid back.
The Tomlinson's Warehouse Info I've provided below.

Watch out for huge parking tickets

On our first Sunday in Garden City Beach which is just south of Surfside, we went to St. Michael's church (really nice) and then thought we'd have breakfast at Nibbls on the Surfside Pier. The parking lot at the Pier serves a couple restaurants, and there is a fee to enter the Pier. Nibbls is a GREAT breakfast spot right on the Pier. Since you pull in to the lot head first on an angle, you are looking up towards the Pier. On our side of the parking lot, there were no signs stating that it was a metered lot. Worse yet, the meters are about as high as the hood of your car. In truth, you REALLY don't see them! We ALWAYS pay meters, cause it's just too much grief to pay a ticket, or get towed. Well we missed the boat on this day, for sure. After a very delicious breakfast, we meandered down to our car, satisfied, and happy that our vacation had just started. We got near our car only to see a very obviously agitated woman, cursing and pacing, and then she said, "you got one, too"....to us. We got to our car only to find a ticket, which, ok, you simply go to a pay-box, or something and pay, oh, I don't know, what would you think? $5....$10...? Well how about $25.00? Yep, that's the game that they play down there in Surfside. Now let's see, if they're looking to keep the riff-raff out, why would you think ticketing cars would be "the ticket"? Most folks who drive, aren't riff-raff. Those people are usually walking! Well, we promptly went up to the magistrate/courthouse, and paid the fine....we intend NEVER to frequent Surfside, just out of spite. There are many very nice restaurants up there, like Latitude, which is a fusion-style cuisine, and Nibbls, and the Conch, just great places, and we will never frequent them again. Sad...truly, that they gotta make money off the visitors who are keeping them in business. And it was during the weeks of Hurricane IKE, and the place was a ghost-town to boot!
