    Deadwood Trolley

A bus, designed to look like an old fashioned trolley runs year round. This trolley runs between the hotels, motels, three of the nearby campgrounds, and the key tourist attractions through out Deadwood. When we were there the cost was only 50 cents per person. The trolley runs to midnight in the winter and 1:30 A.M. Sunday through Thursday Memorial Day to Mid-September. During these summer months the trolley runs to 3:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday nights, so you won’t have to worry about drinking and driving. Simply catch the trolley from your accommodation to town for your night out. The schedule is posted on the back of the Main Street Trolley stop signs through out downtown Deadwood. You may also be able to pick up a trolley schedule from your accommodation.

It is a bit off teh beaten path, but a nice senic drive!
Most motels/hotels in Lead have Shuttle bus service to and from Deadwood. Use it!! We've had super drivers each time and it's so nice to not have to try and find a parking place :o). You can also use the Trolley shuttle. It cost 50 cents per person, but is a nice drive around Deadwood and it goes to the hotels/motels and the campgrounds in Deadwood. They all have a pretty regular schedule, too.
