Mural

Murals on the sides of buildings was a project of the South Dakota arts council serveal years ago. The City of Huron took it one step further and decided to paint lots of them. They continue to add more every year. See my Traveloge for more.

Lots of food and reasonably priced. Three meats, chicken, breaded shrimp and meatballs in gravy, the day I was there, Salad bar & Dessert bar.
They also are home to the Cheryl Ladd Room. This is memoriabila of Cheryl Ladd of Charlies Angels fame. Cheryl was born in Huron and worked at the Barn as a carhop while a teenager. She graduated from Huron High School.

Favorite Dish: Lots of Good food.

A Big Bird

Favorite thing: Huron is an artsy town. There is a lot of murals and statues in Huron. The one they seem to be most proud of is the World's Largest Pheasant. He is 28ft tall and weighs 22 tons and is made of fiberglass and steel.
He measures 40 feet from beak to the tip of his tail. He can be found on Highway 14East near the Dakota Inn.
