Favorite thing: Corn Palace
Fondest memory: The Corn Palace was created in 1892. Settlers would display there harvest on the exterior of the building to show the fertility of the South Dakota's harvest. They created murals made of corn, grass, gran, straw and more. FREE ADMISSION.
Each year the exterior is recreated with new murals. We enjoyed the pictures of each Corn Palace located along the walls inside the Corn Palace.
Today the Corn Palace host community and sporting events. The Corn Palace stands as a tribute to the agricultural hertiage of South Dakota. FREE ADMISSION

Favorite thing: Take a moment to visit with this regular in the outdoor tourist mall across from the Corn Palace. (He hibernates in the winter.)
