With nearly 900 miles of hiking trails and about 550,000 acre, there is plenty of opportunity for everyone to experience a wonderfull hoking experience in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Novice or proffessional, short hike or ovenight, easy or challenging, there are many trail to give you a magnificent experience. Many trails give you the only way to see beutifull water falls and unbelievable mountain views. Although you are in the most visited national park in the US, it is not hard to find yourself thinking that you are in total wilderness, miles and miles from civilization just as the first explorers here probably felt.
Equipment: Bring plent of water and your camera. It's always a good idea to have rain gear with you because this is actually a rain forest and as such, rain can develope quickly.

There are many places to play mini golf in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We visited the mini golf place in Gatlinburg's Regan Terrace Mall. It is right on the strip but you play up the hill. You get some good views of the strip the higher you play!! It also has plaques with Gatlinburg's history along the holes. Nice place to play with the kids!!!!!
