The Alcoa-Maryville Greenbelt is a walking trail that connects Maryville's Bicentennial Park, and Alcoa's Springbrook Park that extends a little over 11 miles. It really is nice during the spring a fall but far too hot during the summer and no one wants to go walking in winter. A good way to see the best of scenery in the two cities. Plus, in October, the Bicentennial Park is host to the Fall Festival, a must see.

Favorite thing: Come October, our tiny little town becomes host to a pretty impressive music festival. Thousands of people file into Bicentennial Park and set up lawn chairs for the three day festival which includes local arts and crafts and many activities for the little ones. Big names from the past include: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alan Jackson, Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Blake Shelton, 38 Special, REO Speedwagon and Kansas. The locals usually volunteer to run booths so it's a good way to get a feel for the people here.
Fondest memory: That everything is safe and there's hardly any crime.
