Favorite thing:
Dont miss BB KIngs club on Beale st for fantastic music at night. During the day go to Mud Island Park - a short monorail ride over the backwash of the Mississippi River takes you to a scale model of the rivers and tributaries that feed into the Mississippi River, a pleasant walk which you will follow leisurely for about 40 minutes to the conclusion in New Orleans and the Gulf of Mexico. Complete with the river running beside you ( in miniature AND in person ! )and beautiful floral and foliage plantings the whole length. It is a lovely walk and gives you a beautiful view of the real Mississippi River and the barges as you walk the model. Masterfully done. The famous aircraft, the Memphis Belle, is also on display on the island, at the start of the walk. Gift shops, the Barge Museum and restaurants on site. Then on to CORKY'S Barbeque Restaurant on Poplar Avenue DO NOT MISS IT!!
Fondest memory:
The barbeque and Ruby Wilson at BB Kings!! Nothing like it anywhere else!

Fondest memory:
My fondest memory was when I walked through the gates at Graceland for the first time and to be able to go inside Graceland it will be something i will never forget. I have wanted to go there since i was very young. I hope I will be able to go again some time.
Favorite thing:
Do I even have to say it? Get Graceland out of your system and move on. There is more fun to be had.
Fondest memory:
Memphis is at it's best in the Spring. the entire city is in a beautiful bloom of Magnolias,Dogwoods, and Azaleas. Try to come in mid April or May. The rest of Summer can be ungodly hot and humid, while winters are often dreary and cool. Fall is nice here too.
Favorite thing:

The Trolley Rides down Main Street and along the river front. We enjoyed Memphis so much! The city is currently renovating many of it's old historical bldgs. We were amazed!
