Guitars from famous musicians hanging everywhere. Plus graffiti is evidently encouraged as there are signatures on every object that's nailed down. Bring your own sharpie because a regular pen doesn't do the trick.
Looking at the menu I just wasn't that impressed, but the food was a great surprise. Service was great. Atmosphere is typical of what you expect on Beale Street.
Favorite Dish:
The Gator Gumbo was excellent. It really was the best gumbo I've ever had (no offense to the fine gumbo I've had in New Orleans). My husband had fried catfish and french fries and it was darn good, too.
There are loads of restaurants in Beale street inluding a planet Hollywood, but this one had loads of atmosphere.
It has a live band, which can be watched from the top floor balcony, or downstairs while you eat. The best thing about this restaurant has to be the decorations, decked out with loads of guitars with various famous names on, and the original Stax studio sign above the stage.
The food is mainly cajun/BBQ and although the south isn't really catered for vegetarians, they do do salad.
