This small riverfront park offers some fine views of the Mississippi River, the skyline, and Mud Island. It also offers some respite from the hustle and bustle of the city streets. Just in case anyone forgets who he was, Jefferson Davis was the President of the Confederacy during the Civil War.

The second statue is right on the way towards Beale Street on Elvis Presley Plaza and would you believe it? I walked by probably half a dozen times until I finally discovered it on the very last day of our stay. Some of the other folks in our group only became aware of it when they saw my photos afterwards although they also passed the place a good number of times. It's one of those instances where things are staring at you without you ever taking notice. Again, this statue really doesn't look like him, I'm afraid.
