Fun Time Trolley by miner Traffic in this area at times is awful and parking in Gatlinburg is scarce. We rode the trollies and saved on frayed nerves and fenders. There are over 100 trolly stops throughout Pigeon Forge. Leave a Comment Phone: 453-6444

Make sure you ask for the COMPLETE, TOTAL rate when checking the rates at cabins and chalets. They start with what looks like a really good deal and then by the time they add, reservation fees, cleaning fees, usually around $30 -$50 for EACH service and whatever else they can tack on it adds up to a bundle. At one place their was a $50 resort stay fee, a $30 cleaning fee and a $30 reservation fee all on top of the $125 a night that was listed as their rate on the website. The price listed on their websites are SELDOM the actual rate, hardly ANY of the places that I looked at told anything about any extra fees. You usually have to go look at the reservation policys to find anything IF you can even find it there. When you call, the rate is actually around $100 more than what you were expecting. Our last stay in Tennessee was with them. There were a number of issues with our cabin. First off, when we arrived, it didn't look like anyone had even been in to clean. There were dead bugs and scorpions throughout. The hot tub was barely functional, and I seriously doubt anyone had drained and cleaned it as they're supposed to. If you want to do a cabin, I'd recommend staying with Hidden Mountain. We've stayed with them a number of times before, and have had nothing but a positive experience. We won't stray from them again. Also, the tip below about drinking isn't quite correct. You can purchase beer (and maybe wine) in restaurants. Only hard spirits are prohibited. But Gatlinburg is only a few miles down the road...
