Like lots of places there are good things and bad things to say about this cafe. It IS nostalgic and is located midway between Chicago and LA along the historic Route 66. That makes it worth stopping. However, the menu is limited to burgers, other types of sandwiches and the titular "ugly crust pies". The other problem is the hours are pretty limited, as it is only open for breakfast and lunch. Staff was pretty good, food was average.
Stop mainly if you are a Route 66 and/or nostalgia buff.
Favorite Dish: The hamburgers are okay but not the best on the highway as claimed.
