    Operating since 1974, Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue has been named the best live Country Music Show of the year four times in a row by the National Organization of Music Associations of America. The Country Music Revue is one of the most popular & most beloved Country Music shows in the United States.

    And this is no lie. Being that I am not a Country Music expert or fan, I had to turn to friends for the truth. My friends did in fact substantiate the Country Music Revue’s notoriety, further stating that it is a must for all aspiring & established Country musicians.

    My friends also informed me of some of the Country Music stars that played at the revue; however, I was unable to recognize any of their names.

    Perhaps no other establishment in the area will evoke such praise & enjoyment as the Black Pearl. Located in the Hill community, the Black Pearl was once a haven for Blues musicians & enthusiasts in Arlington. Sadly, with the economic decline of the Hill in the 1980s, the Black Pearl’s fate mirrored that of the community it served.

    Local Blues aficionados are currently attempting to revive the club; however, it appears as though it will be demolished before it's restored.

    The building is currently locked & off limits to the general public, but peering through the window one will see that the vast majority of the interior remains in tact.

  • Many pool tables. It is pretty easy to get a table anytime you walk in there. Two shuffleboard tables are also available. Drinks are good and food is provided by Moose and Vinny's just next door.

  • A Fun place to hang out. They offer darts, billiards, video games, drinks, and food items.

    Pretty much anything would be fine, dressed up or down. Just look presentable and you'll be fine.

  • This is a large country-western dancehall in Arlington. There are drink specials of some sort just about every night and a large dance floor. There is a house band on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and there is often a special concerts by big names in country music. Dance lessons are offered for 2-step, swing and shuffle, but I dont remember the days or times. Also Wednesday is Ladie's Night and Thursday is College Night.

  • Great place to go and watch a game or just relax after a long day. The bar serves 100 varieties of imported and domestic beers. The pub offers video trivia, pool, darts and shuffleboard. The atmosphere is casual and fun and the service is great.

  • This place is also on my restaurant tips for great food, but at night, especially on thursdays, fridays and saturdays, it turns into a kicking night spot. They have darts, pool and on weekends live local bands. If there isn't a band, the jukebox offers a diverse selection of good music. There always seems to be a drink special on, whether it is $4 pitchers of keystone or 50 cent shots of Jose Cuervo. Check it out on a weekend, it is always a great time.

  • This is one of the best bars in the DFW metroplex, I have often stopped in for just a couple beers and found myself calling a cab at 2AM. The place features billiards, darts and local bands often come to play on the weekends. They serve great pub fare and this is always a great place to meet people.

  • This place has good cold beer in a friendly atmosphere. The bar features darts, billiards, a dance floor and on weekends the bar hosts local country music bands. Best part is there is never a cover charge.

  • Great place to hang out for a couple of drinks or all night. Place caters mostly to a metroplex crowd and is always a good time, whether shooting pool, throwing darts or just talking to whoever happens to be there that night. Service is friendly and quick. Bar also features live music and dancing on the weekends. Music is country and blues. Open 4PM - 2AM
