This is easily one of the best seafood restaurants for fried seafood (well, they may serve grilled seafood, but I've never tried it). You'll feel like you've stepped into another world when you enter this large wooden log cabin. The interior is marked by a yellowish lighting and tons of old signs from numerous periods in the 20th century. Anyway, this is a highly recommended dining experience!

Favorite Dish: Any of their fried dishes are excellent. The deals are Monday through Thursday, when they have their all-you-can-eat specials. Their catfish always has a good, clean taste (i.e. doesn't have a sandy or muddy taste) and their popcorn shrimp are simply the best.

Also, you *must* get their main side dishes, which are beans and coleslaw. The red beans are well cooked and well flavored. The coleslaw is vinegar based and just tastes excellent.

Twenty-seven years of great food! Good place to take the family (coming from a single guy, take it as high praise) or friends for an evening of food and company. Used to be in an old wood and metal building outside of town, but they remodeled and rebuilt and Austin grew (a little!)

Favorite Dish: All you can eat catfish and shrimp with mayonaisy cole slaw and sweet tea.
