This place is known for it's Brisket and Ribs as well as Chicken, Turkey, Pork Loin, and sausage. Served by the 1/2 pound, wrapped in deli paper to go or eat on the premises. Also available as sandwiches. Various sides such as Potato, macaroni, coleslaw and bean salads, corn on the cobb, cream-style corn sold by the 1/2 pint, pints and quarts. Many desserts including Pecan Pie, banana pudding, peach cobbler and others. Atmosphere is of a very relaxed roadside country store and diner looking very much like a barn, at least the one we ate at had that appeal.. Plates consist of a piece of deli meat wrapping paper. Seating is at picnic tables either inside or outdoors.
The brisket is delicious! Not to be missed while in Texas.
Favorite Dish:
Beef brisket, potato salad, banana pudding.
THIS PLACE WAS GREAT. I was asked if I had ever been there before. No, I had not. The server then took the time to explain everything to me. I really appreciated that. There must have been ten servers lined up behind a counter taking orders. It was all well organized.
Nothing fancy, you sit at picnic tables to eat.
Favorite Dish:
The Brisket sandwich. The server gave me samples of three different meats to choose from, and you could not pick a loser in the bunch.
The bbq at Rudy's is good and their specially prepared bbq sauce is bottled and sold locally. The luch crowed is usually large so, go before (around 11:00am) or after (around 1:30pm) lunch rush.
Favorite Dish:
lean brisket
It not like anything i have ever had, of been to before. The atmosphere is laid back and if you didnt know about this place you might not even go. This place is inside a gas station. Or i should say that the Gas station is outside, inside they have the best bar b que that i have ever had. We had so much food and the price wasnt too bad.
Favorite Dish:
The extra lean brisket was what i liked the best.
Talk about adding convienence to the everyday Texan's life... most people pick up cigarettes, or a coke at their local gas station... but here in Austin, you can actually get high class BBQ!
This is my favorite BBQ for a quick lunch, and good BBQ sauce!
Favorite Dish:
Definitely the Extra Lean Brisket with a 1/2 link of Jalapeno Sausage.
