As usual there was a nice gift shop which sold a selection of publications, visitor convenience items, video tapes, and computer software. The NPS encourages the use of the store because items purchased there ultimately benefit the Preserve since percentage of all sales come back to the Preserve. If you order by phone, there is a shipping charge. Most of the items which are sold on the internet are the items which specifically address Big Thicket. To get the video tapes or more diverse publications, you have to know what you want and phone, or go in person.

This is a good mall with several locally owned shops as well as the major department stores. Other than that, there aren't too many brand name shops in Beaumont. It's a good place to meet people, get a taxi or find out more about the city.
What to buy: There's pretty much everything you could possibly want in a mall here.
What to pay: The exact same as anything else in America.
This is the best place to get smoking supplies and to find out where to get any kind of smoking products you may want. Just let them know you're from out of town. ;)
What to buy: It's a smoke shop.
What to pay: I don't smoke.
