    Drinking in Texas

    by lonestar_philomath Written Jan 22, 2007

Favorite thing: It is the state law that no one under the age of 21 can consume, purchase, or possess alcohol. Those who are found possessing alcohol can be fined and/or arrested. It is also illegal to drink while driving a motor vehicle or to drive while drunk. The consequence of doing so can also lead to being put under arrest and/or fined.

Beer, wine, and other forms of alcohol are not sold in all areas of the metroplex. The parts of the city where they are not available are called ‘dry’. Sometimes beer and wine are sold, but not other forms of alcohol. Restaurants

    Living in Bedford

    by lonestar_philomath Updated Dec 13, 2006

Favorite thing: Living in Bedford is great if you do alot of traveling. DFW entrances, both north and south, are within 5 miles from anywhere in Bedford. There is a mixture of one to two family homes, townhouses, and apartments. There are also major highways running along/through Bedford. I only have to drive one block to get on a highway. There are many stores, fitness facilities, pedestrian paths, major hospital, and restaurants close by. One thing keeping me in Texas currently is there is no income tax to date!
