Christopher's* was highly recommended to us by our B&B hostess and we were delighted she did!
The restaurant is a restored 100 year old Texas ranch house, so each room lent itself to an intimate dining experience. We were guided to a nicely decorated room with just four tables, allowing us to have a conversation without having to shout over someone else's conversation. The rooms were painted in rich, deep colors and hung with interesting wall art.
A small bar was located off the entry where one could enjoy a glass of wine while waiting to be seated.
Christopher's offers international cuisine, so we had no problem selecting an entree that appealed to our appetites. I chose a grilled 8 oz. center cut beef tenderloin on creamed spinach with house potatoes and a bearnaise sauce in port wine demi glace (crawfish tails were to top this meal, but I opted out on this particular part of the meal). A more tender piece of meat would have been hard to find!
Jim chose Zihuatanejo Snapper, which was sauteed with jumbo lump crab, pico de gallo and Chardonnay butter sauce. He enjoyed his meal very much! So all in all, we would give Christopher's an enthusiastic thumbs up, for a memorable dinner here.
Our waitress made us feel very comfortable and served us promptly and efficiently, which helped to make Christopher's a perfect place for an exceptional meal!

Cafe Eccell is an unpretentious, casual, and inviting restaurant with an emphasis on high quality food and service. You can enjoy an intimate formal dinner or a casual get-together with friends. From sandals and shorts to tuxedos and evening gowns; all are welcome in the relaxed, 'no pressure' dinning atmosphere.

SALAD: Caesar Salad - romaine, handmade caesar, with foccacia crutons
LUNCH ENTREE: Grilled Portabella Sandwich - focaccia, lettuce, tomato, havarti spread
DINNER ENTREE: Seared Salmon Steak - rosemary mashers, sundried tomato relish, and cilantro buerre blanc
DESSERT: Creme Brulee Cheesecake - Plain and chocolate cheesecake layers topped with a custard layer with caramelized sugar
True Texas Atmosphere, log - wooden structure with oil company signs, license plates, different objects relating to Texas, and the Bryan area all over the place.
