    This is a good restaurant with excellent food, but the prices are a little more expensive than average. The great thing about this restaurant is that you can make reservations... we had problems finding places that took reservations, but we really needed this on the night of graduation at Texas A&M when EVERYONE is going out to dinner!

    Pick your burrito size and type of tortilla, choose your beans, rice and/or meat, then load up on the veggies as your personal burrito assembler walks you through the chaos. The end product is an ample baby-leg of a burrito, complete with one of Freebird's tasty sauces and wrapped in foil. The crowds will attest to the beauty of the experience. Be sure you're hungry if you order any monster-size burrito--these babies are measured in pounds. You'll need more than 30 minutes before you can swim if you order the Super Monster: It weighs 2 3/4 pounds.

  • There are many restuarants in College Station - most are casual and welcome kids. Try the Chicken Oil Company, Cheddars, Rockfish, Texas Roadhouse, Cotton Patch Cafe, and Freebirds.

    Being from San Diego and new to Texas in general, I have found a haven in Cafe Eccell. The food is reminiscent of California Cuisine and, by all standards, excellent! They have great bread and fabulous desserts.

    Classy, inexpensive Baja-style Mexican food. This place is owned by the same gentleman as Cafe Eccell.

    I really like their quesadillas with chicken or steak. My boyfriend always gets fish tacos. The best fish tacos we've ever had are at Fins in San Diego, but these are a pretty close second.

    This was easy to get to, plenty of parking and not too crowded. I love the opening shot, it's evening time, sun is just setting, you are entering the restaurant and feeling hungy, with the promise of being well fed...... what more could you ask for? I don't generally like American food, I find it to be bland in taste. Great effort is made to make it look good, which is something, but burger and fries definitely turn me off. Good selection in this menu, with healthy options. The most expensive was $8.50, cheapest $6.50, so unlikely to break the bank. It also has the useful facility on the website to pre-order your food, so that it is ready for you to take away. There are two other restaurants in this chain in Texas.

    Prawns with mushrooms and snap peas. Tasty yet not too many calories!

  • They give "special" treatment to "foreigners/ people of different colors/races/ethnicity". Apparently, they make special food for these people and treat them in the most derogatory manner. I would not recommend it to anyone who is even 1/12th non-white. Right from their drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert, everything was awful. Their so-famous salmon and other sea-food "delicacies" that we ordered, tasted like it was served after being kept out of freeze for ages!!! Their most expensive appetizer, served in a martini glass was horrible, it tasted like dog-food. Their baked potatoes were most definitely made a day before and served to us!! They wouldn't even care to refill our drinks. When asked for an ice-tea refill, all we got was a glass full of ice-cubes!!! The customer service and waitressing is like that of a jailor towards a prisoner! Even if all the eating places in Texas shut down, we are never going there!!!!!

    Never ever go there no matter what!!!

  • This old family run establishment, in downtown Bryan, has the best salsa I have ever had. Also the fajitas are not only excellent, but are served in portions such that 2 orders could feed 4 or 5 people. To make it even better, the alcohol policy is BYOB (bring your own beer). Definitely on the list of restaurants in the area you should go to.

  • This place has it all, great food, great atmosphere, drink specials and great prices. There is a large selection of interesting takes on American food to go with your $1 well drinks or cold beers. The place is almost always full and you can kick back and relax while watching the Aggies on one of the many TVs, or you can just hang out with friends on the porch.

    You have to try the chicken fajita pizza and the salsa is one of the best around.

  • This is a superb deli restaurant offering southern hospitality and generous portions.

    I believe the sandwich is called "Orange Rasberry Club", which is a turkey based sandwich (I ordered mine without mayo and with extra veggies). Also, get a side order of their fruit cup; it's all natural and tastes great.
