  • USS Lexington - Corpus Christi
    USS Lexington
    by kyoub
The USS Lexington is grounded in the bay, near the state aquarium.
Wander through the ship right down to the shafts, walk acres of flight deck, sit in a ready room waiting for the command to man planes.
View 40mm guns and a hatchway leading to a Sidewinder magazine.
See old wood still lying under the "modern" flight deck, and peer through the bullnose at the city skyline.
The last Essex class carrier to retire, the Lexington spans six decades of U.S. carrier development and is an important part of America's naval history.

From their first days in Kuala Lumpur to the present, this group is fun in all cities. Known as a 'drinking club with a running problem', this is the local chapter. It's a funner group than most...tell them 'AirGasm, SMP, Crab Trap, Low Tide or DumbAss' made you come

There is an 800 foot long boardwalk spanning the marshy flats of Oso Bay.
This is located in the 22 acre Hans Suter Wildlife Park.
You will see pelicans, great blue herons, ducks, and other shorebirds and waterfowl.
