  • Snoopy's: Come hungry!

Wonderful food! The best fish I have ever eaten. It is so tender, it falls apart before you can get it into your mouth. No fishy taste - corvina is awesome!

Dine inside in the shade or out on the back porch and watch the boats and the gulls. It's all good.

Favorite Dish: It's a tie between these two dishes:

    Fish and chips

  • U & I Corpus Christi: It's OK, if you don't . . .

    by leem7777 Written Jul 10, 2011

This place is small, yet the owners try to cram as many tables into the limited space as possible. Some may say that the overcrowding adds to the ambience - others, however, may feel like sardines in a can. There are many choices on the menu and they are certainly not expensive when compared with local eateries, but then again, you get what you pay for . . . the chicken fried steak was something you might find in the frozen food section of Wally-world and the gravy could be located a few aisles over. The left-over steak would make an excellent substitute for your missing flip flop - the filet mignon comes with its own strap! The pork chops were better than expected. When asked about the pork chops, all the server could manage was a curt "they're good." The parking lot is tiny (no wonder) and the building's exterior is pure strip center.

Favorite Dish: The pork chops were the best thing I tasted - moist and tender.

  • Blackbeard's on the Beach: Best Shrimp in CC

by BilBET Written Feb 27, 2007

My wife knows fried shrimp, as she has to have a fix at least once a week, and she is never shy to say Blackbeard's has the best and most consistant fried shrimp in Corpus Christi. We don't order much else, but for the shrimp, GREAT!

It is very close to the American Bank Center, and the Hooks stadium so it is a convenient place to eat before events!! Seafood, cheeseburgers, chicken, soups, salads, sandwiches... all kinds of yummy food! Don't forget appetizers and dessert, those are the best!

Favorite Dish: Friend Avocado for appetizer, Chicken Jack Burger with chips, and A fried cheescake for dessert!

The Grand View (11th Flr Best Wstrn Marina Grand): Great food, great view of the Marina

by Shannashanna Updated Jul 3, 2006

Great food with a great view of the Marina at Corpus Christi. Food is primarily Thai, but there are other offerings, including a couple of Thai/American Fusion dishes for those interested. Many vegetarian options. The restaurant is casually elegant, the service is friendly and fast, and the food is delicious. Lunch specials include wonderful entrees all served with soup, pad thai noodles, and steamed jasmine rice. I had the red curry and my companion had a mixed seafood dish - both delicious, as were the soup, noodles, and rice. The owner was available

Favorite Dish: I LOVED my red curry!! Yummy!

On a recent visit, I found that this place had just gone out of business. Maybe they sold their delicious food too cheaply?

I drove straight here from the airport, and was dissapointed to find a closed sign.

    Favorite Dish: Fajita Tacos

Landry's Seafood House: Landry's Seafood House

by spartan Updated Jul 9, 2003

It is the perfect blend of exceptional seafood with a light, lively and casual atmosphere. Landry's Seafood House locations are recognized by their movie-style marquees on the front of the restaurant and each guest is treated to great seafood at a reasonable price and courteous service in a fun-filled atmosphere.

Favorite Dish: Seafood of course! For a chain restaurant the food and service is excellent. Actually the shrimp is delicious and so is the tuna steak platter.

    Whataburger

The Whataburger chain is all over the Corpus area. We ate there once, at the one right by the Gulf. From the second story, we had a nice view while we were eating. Nice way to relax for a few minutes while during the tourist thing.

Favorite Dish: We only got burgers and fries - nothing special. I have had better in most places.

Black Beards: Don't attempt to go!!!

    by 1SassyGirl Updated Sep 30, 2002

I don't recommend Black Beards it looks like a terrific place to eat but I was told not to go and I did anyway and I found out that it was terrible the food isn't cooked all the way and it looks like they throw it on your plate in a pile of mush.. :( NOT GOOD!!! I do recommend Peir 99 by the USS Lexington across the bridge Queen Isabella it is a great little dive to sit on the patio and watch the seagulls and feel the breeze and see the skyline and the live music

Favorite Dish: I enjoyed the seafood pasta it was tremendous very fresh and filling so take a tour to the USS Lexington and lunch at the the peir 99 it will be a great treat :)

There are too many here to pick one! Water Street Oyster Bar is great
There are actually two of these restaurants side by side. The Bar side is a little more of a night location. The 'Cafe' side is more family oriented.

Favorite Dish: I love their shrimp picayune. I also love their fish with 'nueces style' sauce. They take any fish order and add a shrimp and crab sauce to it. Their house walnut dressing is wonderful too.

  • Snoopy's: Snoopy's

by SparklingCty Written Aug 24, 2002

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The prices at Snoopy's are great. I can walk in with $5-7 and be quite satisfied. But it is the atmosphere that hooks the people. Snoopy's sits off the water about 5 minutes away from the beach. It is the perfect place to watch boats and birds go by while getting to know the person across from you a little better. In the winter they have a large indoor fireplace to snuggle around.

Favorite Dish: anything is good but I usually get the fried shrimp sandwich with fried ocra and a rootbeer. If I am feeling daring I add the Jalapano Poppers to my menu and share with a friend.

The amberjack grilled fish was very good. It came with green beans and fried rice. I also had zinfandel wine and shared a key lime pie (they are really big).

    Pier 99

Just beside the Lexington Carrier, this restaurant proposes sea food and steacks at low price.
It has a patio very pleasant when the weather is hot enough and not too windy.

    25$ for 2
