Ennis is about 15 mins north of Corsicana. There is a lot of Czech culture in Ennis which you can find in the restaurants and antique stores. The Railroad and Cultural Heritage Museum houses memorabilia from the days when Ennis was the hub for Houston and Texas Central Railroad. Items include a 1897 edition of the Book of Rules for train operators, photos of trains that stopped in the town and miniature replicas of the train station in its early days. Ennis is the Bluebonnet capital of Texas.

The Suspension Bridge was built in 1870 as a pedestrian and wagon crossing bridge. It became the vital route by which much of the great Western movement passed, including the Chisholm Trail. It is in use today as pedestrian crossing of Brazos River. Waco is about 50 miles south west of Corsicana.
