If your visiting dallas and want to roll you could get lucky here. They play trance, techno, dance, house, everyone has there glow sticks and beware lots of young punks, it is 18 and up. I havent been in a year but i figure its still the same.

NOTE: This club is now closed. I have no idea what happened, other than they didn't renew their lease sometime late in 2004.
This a 5-in-1 nightclub that offers a pool hall, country dancing, pop music, and...I'm unsure how to classify the 4th section. Each area has a bar, and the two biggest areas have a dance floor (the country area and pop/hip-hop music area). Every Saturday night is "Ladies Night", and the entire area is sponsored by the local KISS FM station (106.1 FM in Dallas, TX).
If you have a large crowd of young friends, this is the type of club you want to hit up for the night.
Dress Code: Other than dress to impress, I'm unsure what to mention.

Excellent place for Dancing and eating. It is a restaurant, nightclub with live music (at least on Saturdays)
The wooden dance floor is big and smooth. there is a diverse crowd from beginer to advance salseros.
The restaurant has several seccions, and families with children go there until 10pm
Music and dancing start at 9pm and the cover charge is $10.00
Dress Code: casual elegant or dress to impress type of deal. I dont remember if anyone was wearing jeans.
I would try to avoid jeans and sneakers since it is a salsa dancing place.

If you want to Salsa dance on a Friday night the absolute best place to hang out at is Stratos Greek Taverna (aka Stratos). All of the best salsa dancers in Dallas hang out there on Fridays but it is also good on Saturdays too.
There is a great DJ that plays Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha, & Bachata but no Reggeton!! Ramiro does the salsa lesson around 9:15 and he is a lot of fun!
$3 drink specials until 2 am.
Stratos also has great Greek Food and Belly dancing most other nights...
Dress Code: Anything goes but bring good shoes for dancing. Jeans are fine

This place is awesome!
Previously known as Carson's Palace, Carson'd Live has a nice good size dance floor and stage to accomendate their huge bars and lounge areas. This place definitely has something for everyone. Oh yeah, and the women look great!
This is my favorite dancehall (for now, hehe).
Dress Code: I went casual, and I'm sure they want clietele to dress to impress as well. Anyway, there are some "real lookers" here, so you want to dress at least halfway decent.

Dancing has changed so much, but not in Texas. We still hold to traditions of formal dancing with a southern twist. If you have never seen a young cowboy gently moving his sweetheart around the dancefloor, you must check it out. Dont get me wrong, the old timers get into it too! If youre too shy, grab a beer and do some excellent people watching. Watch out for the cowboy who's had too much and wears his hat low over his eyes...give 'em plenty of room and you'll be okay.
Dress Code: Hats, boots, belts and buckles. Most men wear pressed shirts and Wrangler jeans. This is not a rule, the environment is very forgiving for the city slicker. If youre up for buying your own duds, check out Cavenders or Sheplers...no need to spend a bundle, but if youre gonna do it, get help from the staff to look "authentic". Women have no dress code whatsoever, anything goes, what ever is beautiful and sexy...oh, oh, and comfortable. If you plan to dance, heels would be a bad choice.

There are several Country and Western bars in Dallas. Many offer free C&W dance lessons usually on Sunday when business is slow. Hey, but who needs lessons - one just needs to find someone who can dance and they will lead. When I lived here I took lessons and actually got onto the dance floor. It's not that hard to learn.

Ballroom Dancing, Country Dancing, and best of all latin dancing....My passion is latin dancing! I can never get enough salsa, cumbia, meringue's, etc...
Attached are some ballrom pictures taken at the Thai New Year Party I attended the night before New Years... If your situation doesn't permit traveling at the present time...seek out the cultural activities within your city. I knew almost nothing about Thailand up until a month ago...and now I am addicted to this particular Thai resturant in Dallas because I won the ballroom dance contest. The prize was a full meal for 2...

This is a new and nice club that plays techno and hip-hop. However, I must warn you the drinks are very, very expensive.
Dress Code: Dress nice; a nice dress shirt, jeans, and shoes.
