Okay, the food is great and the service is good. the location on Lemmon does not appear to be outstanding, but once inside it's great. parking is lousy, you must use valet or lose your car. there is little outside waiting room as the street crowds right up to the door. If using a taxi in most cases in the evening there is one in the immediate area and the doorman can get you in one quickly.

My opinion, I go to a steak house to get a steak, so all the rest is for the people with me. Steaks there are 2 the rib eye or the t-bone. forget anything else. Now the prime rib is heaven. Tender!
When the Dallas royalty decide to eat, it is normally at Bob's Steak and Chop House. On several occasions, famous Dallas dignitaries such as Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman have been seen in a booth here.
The size and flavor of the steaks are really unmatched at many places around the country, however you are paying for this meal, so make sure you have the room on your credit card! Most people especially love the carrot that adorns every plate as a little signature of the meal.
You do also have to go with 4 or more people in my opinion however, because the meals come a la carte, meaning you have to order your starches and vegetables family style. If you have your cholesterol levels under control, make sure to try either the calamari or the onion rings, which both are served Texas style. For those of you not from Texas, that essentially comes from the phrase "Everything's bigger in Texas."
Also, the wine selection is tremendous here. I would highly recommend bringing a hearty appetite, and a designated driver!
**As of Jan. 2008, Bob's is a member of Rewards Network, so you can earn up to 10 airline miles per dollar spent.
You will be hard pressed to find a better steak in the world than at Bob's Steak and Chop. Be sure to call ahead for reservations. It usually ends up being about $50 per person, but that can quickly escalate if you are a wine lover.
For a extra-special dining experience, head to the upscale "Bob's Steak and Chop House". Bob's is the only Texas steakhouse to have been awarded with the prestigious DiRoNa award. The staff is very attentive; the food is absolutely scrumptious.
A large jar of home-brined pickles and peppers sits in the middle of every table. It may look like a fancy centerpiece, but by all means dig in! (You MUST try the pickles!) Warm rounds of bread are constantly brought out until your meal arrives.

Bob's is famous for, what else, their steaks...but they also have fish, duck, lamb and pork on their menu. The garlic mashed potatoes are some of the best potatoes I've had. A giant, glazed carrot adorns every plate so consider yourself warned! It looks like it could be used as a weapon if need be. (Rumour has it they're fabulous as well, but I'm not a carrot person...;-)
The resturant is very pricey ($39.95 for a 9 oz filet. Perhaps best to have your date take you there! LOL. ;-)
One of the best Steakhouses in the country is Bob's Steak & Chops....but if you want something fun and a little different drive up to Ponder(less than an hour) to The Ponder Steakhouse. You have to call ahead if you want a baked potato...grandma's pies are great...honest the grandma really makes the pies!
