Two Guys from Italy. The Pelican Steakhouse. Red Bryan's bar-b-que.
Two guys from Italy is very comfortable with lots of plants growing along the walls and across the ceiling. Beautiful and really romantic atmosphere. They have excellent italian food of all varieties, like I've never tasted anywhere before. The Pelican is pretty high class. Red Bryan's is really casual and comfortable. Prices vary but are reasonable.

Favorite Dish: Mostaccoli at Two Guys from Italy, Filet Mignon from the Pelican, and the barbeque sandwich basket from Red Bryan's.

    Cold beer or hot soup

This is America. And the one thing you can say about America is that you are unlikely ever to go hungry. There are restaurants, diners, eateries everywhere. On the other hand, you could well freeze to death. One summer, when old Cliffie was in Dallas, the mercury was bubbling at around 108 fahrenheit (42 celsius). But entering any restaurant was like walking into the cold storage room back at his local supermarket. Temperatures plunged, teeth chattered and the craving for a nice cold Bud suddenly changed to a desperate desire for a bowl of warming soup. Enjoy your meal - but never underestimate the power of Texan air-conditioning. You could be warmer in an igloo.

Hole in the wall,,,but all the locals (business professionals) know about it...packed at lunch and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays,.

Favorite Dish: Grilled Lemon Grass Chicken with fresh herbs and peanut sause. It is also served with a delightful fish sauce but it has chili in it so be aware. Also try the raw spring rolls. They are the best. Raw meaning the fillinf is cooked but the rice paper it's rolled in is not, very low calorie.

Nana Grill atop the Anatole Hotel on I-35. Superb food, service, and view.
Nana grill is a bit pricey so it's one of those 'special occassion' places. Sitting atop the Anatole Hotel, always ask for a window seat. From there, you have a gorgeous view of various parts of Dallas. The staff make you feel like you're the only ones there and they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your meal.

by LBKesner Updated Apr 20, 2011

This place offers good, thin pizza and a nice patio at a busy corner.

Favorite Dish: Good pizza, but also a nice place just for a break and a drink!

    100% awesome!

Favorite Dish: We got 3 different Chicken dishes. They were all delicious. My friend got the sesame ginger, and it was a bit spicy, but by far, the best.

Love & War in Texas - Yep, that really is the name...
Huge quantities of food. Typical Texas tourist trap.
