  • On The Border: Mexican Grill & Cantina: Bottem of the Barrel

If you are in Dallas TEXAS do not go to On the Border! This Brinker Company imitation of Mexican food will leave you unsatisfied and probably with a poor image of Mexican food. Try ANY other Mexican food in the city and i guarantee it will be better. Cheap quality food and worse service. Endless chips and salsa are nice though, which is standard at ALL Tex-Mex restaurants in the city. Basically Taco Bell on a plate. Cheap, commercial, and boring.

    Favorite Dish: Chips & Salsa

I haven't eaten at On the Border in Dallas, but I have eaten at one in Maryland. There are two in Dallas other than the one listed below

    West End-On The Border
    1801 N. Lamar
    Dallas, TX 75202 US
    214-855-0296

    Knox-On The Border
    3130 Knox St.
    Dallas, TX 75205 US
    214-528-5900

Favorite Dish: At the Maryland On the Border, I had a quesidilla and Bob had his usual taco dinner. Food was good and service was quick and it wasn't too noisy.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina: You can live on chips and queso...

Do not leave texas without having tried chips and beef queso! I say again, do NOT leave texas without having tried our chips and queso! Make sure everyone gets their own bowl, some will not like to share once theyve tried it. I would also recommend the frozen margaritas...strawberry is perty dern good, but there are dozens to choose from!

Favorite Dish: Fajitas...beef. Texas beef is amazing.

    I love salmon

Enjoy traditional Mexican meals with a Texan flare.

Favorite Dish: You start off with warm Tortilla Chips & Salsa and then for the entree, LJ selected Salmon Mexicano (mesquite-grilled salmon fillet served with sauteed vegetables, Mexican rice and choice of beans).

One of my favorite places to eat is On the Border with feature dishes of enchiladas, fahitas, steaks, and great brunch menu.

Favorite Dish: Don't miss the margaritas. A tradition with Mexican food here in Texas.
