by evalynn Updated Sep 28, 2004
40th anniversary JFK art by Lynn Jones

My art that I created & placed in Dealey Plaza on 11/21-11/22/03. Picked up by the AP & CNN.
UPDATE- my JFK art was a finalist in the Dallas Press Club's "KATIES". Didn't get the "KATIE". But I got what I really wanted....to be a finalist & the recogniziton for my art.

JFK Museum - the Sixth Floor at Dealey Plaza

    by Virtuous_Tourist Written Sep 26, 2003

This museum, at the site of the Kennedy assasination, is pretty interesting.
The Texas School Book Depository Building in downtown Dallas has some cool memorablia associated with the former US president and the events of that fateful day.
Discounts are sometimes available from the Tourist Information Center nearby.

Dealey Plaza - the sight of...

    by denver662 Written Aug 26, 2002

Dealey Plaza - the sight of many different attractions...The Sixth Floor Museum, JFK Memorial, Dallas Visitor Center, The Conspriacy Museum, Reunion Tower and Arena, & the sight of JFK's assassination.
This is a very historical place for the U.S. since it involved one of the most popular presidents of the 20th century.

John F. Kennedy Memorial - is a memorial to the late president. It is simple and stark and was designed by Kennedy family friend - Philip Johnson.

The Texas Book Depository - where Lee Harvey Oswald may have fired the shot that may have killed John F. Kennedy.

Dealey Plaza is the site of the Kennedy assassination. An 'X' on the road marks where the President was shot and a plaque was placed beside the footpath.

    JFK

This is a special memorial for JFK on the 40th Anniversary.

If you enlarge this picture, you can see John boy, his son. What a memory it was to see him salute his father in the funeral procession.

November 22, 1963 was the date that JFK was assasinated. I went to Dealy Plaza many times, but this year I decided to go for the 40th Anniversary.

This is obviously the site of assasination of President Kennedy. There is a museum in the building from which the shots allegedly came and a memorial.

The museum chronicles JFK's life and career. View various conspiracy theories. This is the actual Book Depository where they say kenedy was shot from.

Sombering place with unanswered questions. The conspiracy theories receive much attention, though visit the museum (located on the sixth floor) to learn more about JFK's legacy.
