Out on the water, your risk are from water related dangers, tipping over, bad weather coming in quickly. But once you step foot on land or are walking the areas around the lake, be aware of the small critters that can cause problems. Don't step over rocks without looking on the other side first. Be careful when you're walking in areas of rubble, whether its' a tumbled down building or more likely a rock rumble at the bottom of a cliff. These are favorite places for the small critters to hide, as well as snakes.
