Well, bowling is fun anytime really but it's even better at night (around 10pm) during Cosmic bowling!! The bowling alley turns down the lights, turns up the music and the blue lights come on to make an electric light show with pins and balls. It's really fun with a group of friends and a great way to meet other people if you're looking for it. It really is like being at a club but with bowling. There is a full bar so you can drink it up, too!
If you're coming to Denton with a younger family this is a great idea to do together. You don't have to come late at night for Cosmic bowling. The alley is open all day long. It is a fun place for birthday parties, too! You can see their variety of hours so you can come any day, anytime. There is also a snack bar so you can eat a meal here if you'd like. And for the kids there is an arcade.
Extras: Bar, Food, Pro Shop, Arcade
Hours:
Sunday-Thursday 9am-12am
Friday 9am-2am
Saturday 7am-2am
Equipment: You can rent or buy all the equipment you need (ball, shoes, bag)
However, PLEASE BRING SOCKS!!!

In 1951 Fouts Field became the home of the University of North Texas football and track teams. It was expanded in 1994 to hold 30,000 fans. The complex features a artificial turf football field surrounded by an 8 lane all-weather track, a shot put and an athletic complex which houses a weight room, a sports medicine department and a newly refurbished football locker room.

The field was named in honour of Theron J. Fouts, who was a coach of all sports at the university and who initiated track and field as a varsity sport at UNT. It was this program that gained the first national recognition for the university in athletics. The teams won national honours in football, basketball, golf and track and field.

The marina at Lake Dallas has a new dock. It is open 6 days a week: 8:30 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm. All lakes in North Texas are manmade, and many are owned and operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The main fish caught in the lake are large- mouth bass, white bass, white crappie, hybrid and striped bass and blue and channel catfish.

Lucky Lou's is on the ever-changing, yet fabulously famous FRY STREET. Most people here are students of the University of North Texas (GO EAGLES!). There are a range of things to do. They usually have good drink specials and big screen tvs for sports games. You can sit inside or sit on the patio and drink the night away. If you live in the apartments close by you can drink all ya want and then just walk home. And if you live a little farther there are many taxis around to get ya home. Be safe!!
This was my favorite spot to watch the NBA finals. Everyone came decked out in Dallas Maverick gear and the drink specials were awesome.
GREAT TIME!
Equipment: Wear your jersies...and some quarters for pool.
