All of the gas stations close after dark. There is at least one gas station (Exxon) that has 24 hour pay at the pump. It's expensive no matter where you buy gas, and remember that all of the towns are far apart with no gas stations in between. If you're in a town and running low on gas, fill up. You don't want to get stuck in the middle of no where with no gas.

It can get very dry in this part of Texas. Fort Davis is on the edge of the Chihuahuan Desert. There's usually a lot of dust around unless we've had a good rain. I took this picture in a dust storm. That dot in the sky is the sun. I could hardly breathe there was so much dust. But it is rarely that bad. The summers are nice when it rains.
