Biking Willow City Loop
If you've seen my Things to Do tips then you've seen the amazing pictures of the 13-mile Willow City Loop. While we were driving the loop we ran into a few groups biking it! I thought it was an amazing way to see the sights while getting some great exercise.
*Note: The actual trail does not start and stop at the same place. Therefore, if you're going to bike it you will need to bike one way for the 13-miles and then 13 miles back. So, you may only do what you're comfortable with.
Although some of the pictures show terrain, the loop is paved and there are cows on the road! But they kept to themselves when I went.
Equipment: Need to bring your own stuff. Willow City is a bit far from Fredericksburg so you might not want to bike from there.
Biking the LBJ National Historical Park
For only $1 you can tour the entire National Historical Park of LBJ's ranch. When I went we drove but there was a big family who biked the entire way. Just be careful in the summer...it can be very hot!
*You do have to put a certain sticker on the bike that you get from the ranger at the visitors center...so make sure to stop by the center first.
Equipment: Bring your own bike and equipment for it because nothing is provided.
