    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Built in the early 1850s, this restored frontier hotel now houses the history of Fredericksburg and the story of Admiral Chester Nimitz, a native of the city. Nimitz served as commander of the Pacific Fleet during the Second World War. Part of the Admiral Nimitz State Historic Site. Many displays of historical interest here, including a 15-foot scale model of the aircraft carrier Nimitz.
