Guarenteed not to disappoint you, DFW lives up to its name as one of the largest airports in the world. Because of its Central location in the US, its relatively warm weather, and the wide open spaces known as the Texas plain, DFW seems to be an ideal location to link your travel needs. The airport consists of 5 separate terminals, with 4 of the terminals being dominated by American Airlines. Terminals A,B,C, and D are primarilly American, and terminal E is most other carriers. Terminal D contains all the international flights. If you are travelling during peak times, please do give yourself at least an hour before flight time to get through security if you know what you are doing, or two hours if you are not a steady traveller. DFW is the closest airport to Frisco, and is easily reached by travelling on State Highway 121 the whole way. Leave a Comment Theme: AirplaneWebsite: http://www.dfwairport.com

 | | | | Catch a Baseball Game at Dr. Pepper BallPark | Tip Rating: | | | | |
Located in the heart of Frisco is the Minor League Baseball team, the Frisco Rough Riders who play at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. This is one of the best minor league ballparks in the country to catch a game, and the entertainment lasts much longer than just the 9 innings in the game. Mascots races, diaper derbies, water balloon tosses, and two-stepping on the dugout are just a few of the sights you will see at the ballpark. Then there is the food... there are two separate all-you-care-to-eat options, one including beer and wine, and the other for just sodas and water. If you go completely all inclusive, there is an ice cream dessert bar as well as 4 separate "restaurants" to choose from in the stands. The easier option is the Teddy Club (named for Teddy Roosevelt, a Rough Rider) where you can just go up and get your hot dog or popcorn from one location, and return as many times as you like. This is a little lighter on the pocketbook at only 18 dollars a game. Ticket office info: 1. This park is located on Parkwood drive and spreads out across 8 acres next to the Hampton Inn & Suites. In the rolling grassy landscape you will find many historic quotes on the concrete steps and walkways, several water fountains, an amphitheatre and most notably the large sized bronzed sculptures and relief murals, all depicting the Shawnee Trail. Its like a walking history tour. Leave a Comment Directions: Located along Parkwood and Warren Parkway.

This was the earliest principal route of the Texas longhorn cattle drive which began going through this area around 1840. The cattle were driven from Austin through Waco and Dallas up north along the eastern edge of Oklahoma (as it is now) and up to Kansas City or to Sedalia, Missouri where there were railroad facilities for transporting the herd east especially to meatpackers at Chicago.
