Downtown Square Plaza, Garland

This little square plaza sits in the heart of downtown Garland. In early December the community celebrates the lighting of the Christmas Tree which sits in what usually is a pond right in the centre.

At this time of year, the water is turned off and the pond is drained. This historic downtown Garland square dates back to the nineteenth century and was rated in the top 10 in the state by Texas Highways.
